Community Health Highlights

We are committed to using our resources, reach, and partnerships with other organizations to help build healthier and more equitable communities.

Icon of corona virus

Recognizing the critical threat the COVID-19 pandemic posed to the health of our communities, Kaiser Permanente awarded more than $1.1 million in grants to support programs that increase access to health care for underserved populations and prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Fresno and Madera counties.

Icon of house

Kaiser Permanente awarded $300,000 dollars to fund outreach, emergency housing, and case management to help people experiencing homelessness establish permanent housing.

Icon of grocery bag

Kaiser Permanente also awarded $900,000 to support programs to increase access to healthy food, assist people to enroll in CalFresh, California’s food stamp program, and expand physical activity opportunities for students through school-based programs.
