Community Health Highlights
We are committed to using our resources, reach, and partnerships with other organizations to help build healthier and more equitable communities.
Kaiser Permanente stepped in during the height of the pandemic to support students, families, and local restaurants through a $1.5 million grant to the Oakland-based Eat.Learn.Play Foundation. Eat.Learn.Play partnered with World Central Kitchen and Growing Together to provide restaurant meals and fresh produce to children and families.
We awarded $500,000 to Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency to support the Step Up Supportive Housing Program in Berkeley to provide 39 units of permanent housing for homeless individuals.
Kaiser Permanente awarded a grant to the Latina Center in Richmond to provide bilingual/bicultural mental health and domestic violence services to Latina women in West Contra Costa County.
