Healthy Eating Active Living

Mental Health and Wellness

Every investment we make changes lives;
here’s just one example

“The Bayview HEAL Zone’s young Food Guardians from the neighborhood have transformed five corner stores selling primarily alcohol, cigarettes and candy into mini food markets featuring fresh produce.  This pilot project expanded to the Tenderloin and central city, and prompted a city ordinance called Healthy Retail SF that incentivizes corner stores to switch to healthier food options.”

– Christina Goette, M.D. about Kaiser Permanente’s investment in expanding healthy choices in underserved communities.
